I recommend walking down Main Street in your home town. My wife and I did that yesterday, and I realized how important it is. Support your downtown shopkeepers. These are your neighbors. They hire your neighbors. It means something to me to buy my necessities from someone who might learn my name. Might ask me about my family. Enough said.
